Linda Litteral is a San Diego County multidisciplinary artist whose work gives visible form to experiences that are often silenced. For more than 25 years, she has worked across ceramics, sculpture, painting, drawing, fiber, and installation, exploring memory, trauma, and resilience. Originally from Jackson, Michigan, Litteral worked in industrial tooling and product design before discovering ceramics in her early thirties. As a survivor of childhood sexual abuse, she found art offered a way to express experiences she had long struggled to communicate. She earned an MFA at San Diego State University and has taught at universities and community colleges throughout the region. She has also taught at the Las Colinas since 2014 developing a healing art curriculum for incarcerated individuals. Her works include the Storyteller clay figures, the See, Hear, Speak ceramic series, and The Walk, a participatory desert labyrinth. Her book, Show and Tell: Healing from Trauma Through Art, was published in 2023.
