The Artist

My name is María Conde. I am a writer, creator, and cultural manager based in Tijuana, Baja California. My artistic practice stems from the written word: from writing as memory, a tool, and a means of transformation. From childhood, I discovered that stories resonated with me with the same intensity that music resonates with someone who plays an instrument. Over time, that intimate relationship with the written word evolved into a creative practice that today encompasses essays, long-form narrative, editorial curation, applied philosophy, and community action.

The Project

In Tijuana, there is no other platform that translates philosophical thought into concrete tools for everyday life, connects high culture with vulnerable communities, and does so through a literary voice deeply rooted in the local community. We don’t just report on philosophy—we live it, write it, and put it into action. Elevate Philosophy seeks to expand in four specific areas: to advance the editing and publication of a book in progress, *The Secret of the Journey to the Stars*; to produce the second edition of the Elevate Program Agenda in Spanish and its first edition in English; to strengthen the weekly newsletter as a space for critical thinking; and to prepare a public presentation of Elevate Philosophy in Tijuana as a gathering that combines conversation, community, and a symbolic pre-launch of the book.
