The Project

Tadeo and Yoko: Larry’s Rescue is the next installment in the comic series created by Ulises Palace. This new volume expands on the adventures of its protagonists through a story that combines action, comedy, classic video games, and references to popular and border culture. Following the events of the previous installment, Larry and a group of special guests are sucked into an arcade featuring *Los Supercompas Bien Muertos Bros*, a fictional arcade game inspired by classic platformers. Unaware of what has happened, Tadeo and Yoko arrive at Larry’s store, where they embark on a new adventure to rescue him, facing surreal scenarios, unexpected dangers, and cartoonish enemies inspired by Mexican humor and Chicano culture. Through a dynamic visual narrative, eccentric characters, and absurd situations, the project aims to expand the universe of Tadeo and Yoko, connecting the nostalgia of classic video games with the cultural identity of the Mexico-U.S. border. The initiative includes the production of a new issue of the comic and its distribution to national and international audiences.
